There will be social activities on two evenings after the conference. In the course of these evenings we would like to give you an impression of the city with typical Cologne cuisine and bring you closer to its traditions. All costs for the social program are included in the conference fee for participants and registered accompanying persons. The transfer from the venue to the dinner locations will be organized by the conference committee.
Tuesday, 5 April: A Rustic Evening at a Real "Kölsch Brauhaus"
On Tuesday evening we would like to invite you all to a rustic dinner at a traditional “Brauhaus”, a beer brewing restaurant. Sited right next to the famous Cologne cathedral, this is a number one tourist attraction. One of the halls we have reserved is called the "little cathedral" with many original artifacts from its namesake. In this very special atmosphere we will serve a buffet of traditional Cologne culinary delicacies and, of course, real "Kölsch" draught beer.
A bus transfer will take you from the conference venue to the restaurant after the conference has ended for the day. It leaves from the main gate of the Flora.
Wednesday, 6 April: The Gala Dinner at the Chocolate Museum
Wednesday night is all about indulgence. The evening at the Cologne Chocolate Museum starts off with a reception at the large golden-leaf chocolate fountain. Afterwards, while sitting down for a delicious three-course-meal, you will be able to enjoy the spectacular view of the famous Cologne skyline behind the sparkling Rhine river through the panorama windows.
A bus transfer service will take you from the conference venue to the restaurant after the conference has ended. It leaves from the main gate of the Flora.
